Diwali-Inspired Nail Art Tutorial!

I recently sparked up some conversation with a couple of lovely customers at our Pixi Boutique about Diwali. It’s a beautiful Hindu festival of lights, signifying the victory of light over darkness. Inspiration comes from everywhere, and our conversation soon became the theme of this fun nail art tutorial!



 

Here's what you'll need:

• Pixi Nail Colour in Rosewine


• Fairy Dust in Olive Gold


• Brightening Top Coat


• Detail Brush (can be purchased at a local cosmetology store!)

 



 

1) Base Colour


Apply our double duty Brightening Top Coat as a base coat.

Then, apply 1-2 coats of our Nail Colour in Rosewine. The chip-resistant formula works wonders for me throughout the week!

 



 

2) Customise your colour!

Our Fairy Dust isn’t just for your eyes and for an all-over glow. You can use it to create your own nail colour! Add two drops of the Brightening Top Coat on a small dish or piece of paper. Then, tap a small amount of Fairy Dust in Olive Gold. Mix well until the pigment is even and smooth throughout. If the colour gets thick, add a little bit of nail polish remover for a smoother application.

 



 

3) Apply your Pixi pretty details!

Use the detail brush to create these elegant, vine-like designs. Start with a long swirl down the middle and create smaller lines that extend to the sides of the nail bed. Protect your Pixi perfect creation by applying another coat of Brightening Top Coat!
