One of the questions I get asked the most is how to get a quick & easy smoky eye – of course there are LOTS of ways, but the most simple, instant-gratification way is with a carefully curated duo liner like Crayon Combo!
Makeup artists & bloggers alike are loving our new shade for Fall, Super Smoky.

This new pencil consists of the perfect gunmetal grey and deepest black to easily create the most quintessential version of the smoky eye.
I designed the shape of the pen so that it would effortlessly bring a smokiness to eyes – the black end has a precision point that is easy to control and is great for detail work, and the grey end is chubbier so that it fits to the eye contour and creates an automatically blended effect.
I personally love Crayon Combo because the formula gives intense colour that is easily blended out to a soft-focus effect. It’s also great because it is waterproof, so it stays on ALL day!
Now let’s get on to some looks!!

SIMPLY SMOULDERING:
Take the black end all around eye in inner rim, then blend into upper and lower lash lines. Reapply if more intensity is desired. Smudge the grey end all around eyes, just around the edges of the black you applied.
FELINE & FEMININE:
Trace the black end all along the upper lash line, lifting up to a flick at the outer corner. Smudge slightly under the outer corner of the eye as well. Take the grey end and shade the outer edge of the crease for a bit of depth.
DAYTIME DELICATE:
Softly shade the lid and lower lash line with the grey end, blending out into a sheer veil of colour. For more intensity, add a bit of the black end on the upper waterline only.
The best way to open up a smoky eye and add some interest? Highlighter!
The glimmery white Fairy Dust in Snow Sparkle is amazing with this greyscale colour palette – just dab a bit in the inner corner of the eye for an instant eye-opening effect!

Our lovely girls in the Pixi office are fans too!
ARIE – I like to update my regular cat eye by smudging the grey into the bottom lash line for a smokier look.
KATE – This makes a great base for smoky eye shadows. It really intensifies any pigments applied on top and creates a multidimensional look.
COLLEEN – What I love about this is the versatility: it can create simple, natural, natural smoky, and dramatic looks.
SARA – This just glides on and stays on all day without me having to reapply.
ANITA – I love to pair intense smoky eyeliner with the Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Silver Sky and Shea Butter Lip Balm in Honey Nectar!
