To make this look work, the key is to keep the eyes as natural as possible – almost no eye makeup, only a touch of mascara if anything. The skin also has to be flawless, so a good tinted moisturizer and concealer is essential.

For a trendy look, go for a matte finish. You can use any lipstick you already own – just add a thin layer of powder on top to mattify.
Tints or stains are also amazing for this look – try layering a stain under a lipstick for the ultimate colour saturation.
Try mixing two tones for an ombre look. I love a fuchsia & hot pink together – so unexpected but fresh.
To really pop a neon lip, I like to apply a touch of concealer or colour-neutralizing primer all over lips before applying a bright shade. This really helps to show the true shade of the lip colour you are applying, rather than it competing with your natural lip colour.

As I have olive-toned skin, a blue-based rose, fuchsia, or pink always seems to work best on me, but play around to find YOUR best shades!
