While I'm sad to see Summer coming to an end, I'm ready to welcome Fall and all that it brings including...back to school time!
It's an exciting part of the year, but also one that can bring a lot of stress - as the mother of a 6-year-old, I definitely know this
Mornings can get very hectic - between trying to get my son fed & presentable, packing a lunch, gathering school supplies, getting him in the car, driving him to school, and so on, sometimes I forget to get MYSELF ready for the day!
Due to this time-crunch, I have really streamlined my "running-to-school" makeup routine so that I can get it done quickly and without any fuss! (Hint: it's also great for those of you who are rushing to get to a class/work/etc yourselves!)

Start with 2 very basic steps that take 1 minute or less all together:
- Smooth on a tinted primer with illuminating pigments that will both cover imperfections & add a soft radiance to the complexion
- Curl lashes to instantly open up & bring light into the eyes

If you have 3 more minutes, polish the look further by doing the following:
- Apply tinted moisturizer and matching concealer to get an even more perfected complexion
- Dab a gel blush onto apples of cheeks and also smooth onto lips for a fresh burst of colour - this really wakes up the face
- Apply 2 coats of a waterproof mascara to lashes - waterproof is key, since it will hold the curl and won't smudge all day
Voila! Gorgeous & ready to go in 4 minutes or less!
Another morning-rush secret of mine is to use a multipurpose salve or thick cream - I love to apply to tops of cheekbones for a hint of gleam without any effort, use as a lip conditioning treatment, and even run a tiny bit through the ends of hair to smoothen & de-frizz in a pinch (whether it's my hair or my 6-year-old's before school
).
